Ph.D (Botany) research is in Rhizosphere Microbial diversity assessment, plant-microbe interaction, identification of beneficial bacteria and developing formulations for promoting sustainable organic agriculture. Dr. Prabavathy is a recipient of several awards including the Rana Memorial Award from the Association of Microbiologists of India, and the Best Woman Scientist Award from the National Academy of Biological Sciences, Chennai.
